THIS WEEK ON ALL 4 ADVENTURE…
Jase, Simon and Jesse are out at Palmerville Station and are starting to catch a bit of the gold fever. They need to head back to the main camp to meet up with Frog, but getting back there is the start of their challenges.
On their way, they come to a creek that’s deep enough to swim in! With some dead wood and those trusty Maxtrax, they’re able to build themselves a bridge. Bit hairy there for a minute, but their bush engineering does the job.
Back at main camp Frog has all the gold-hunting gear sorted. All the boys gotta do is put in the elbow grease as they follow in the footsteps of the miners from the 1880s. Giving the metal detectors test run, Jase’s thumb sets the detector off – turns out he’s got a bit of steel still lodged in there from a past mishap. They keep scanning the hills, finding a few rusty nails but no real treasure. Then Simon’s detector goes off, and Jase starts digging! Will they strike it rich?
Plans change when a promising weather forecast comes through – perfect for fishing! So, they make a beeline for the coast. They forge their way through sand and water, and they haven’t even hit the beach yet! One last sandy climb to tackle is softer than it looks. Needs a bit more speed! They put the pedal to the metal and fly onto the beach.
With no time to waste, they rush to get the boat in the water before they lose the daylight. They head for those wonky holes, hoping to catch some dinner. But will the sharks beat them to it?
The wind has changed overnight, and the sky has turned an ominous shade of grey. They pack up and get back behind the wheel, driving along the beach, dodging debris and navigating those tricky crossings. They come to a crossing that looks particularly deep, so they hop out for a closer look, trying to gauge the best line. Jase and Simon make it through no worries, but Jesse gets hung up on the trailer. Jase and Simon jump into action to get the vehicles backed up to get a good winch point.
A monster sand dune is the final challenge that could prevent them from getting off the beach before the rain hits. It’s time to give it the berries and go!
