THIS WEEK ON ALL 4 ADVENTURE…
The boys get a chance to explore the history and culture of Elcho Island this week, but first Jase does a little camp oven baking with his self-saucing sticky date pudding.
The trevally are on the bite, and Jesse manages to reel in his biggest catch!
The boys meet up with the rangers at camp before heading off to explore. Spearfishing crayfish is a go with Jesse on croc watch. The boys also join in on a plastic run, collecting all the washed-up rubbish on the beach to help fight against the global problem polluting our waterways. Marcus gives the boys a spear-throwing lesson and also gives a foreboding warning about which sea creatures to avoid.
Jase masters the art of the spear throw but disaster strikes in the form of a blue-spotted stingray — one that the locals won’t eat or even go near — which gets Jase right through the hand with its poisonous barb. Quick action by Marcus and the boys gets a bush medicine antivenom into Jase, but is it enough to get him through?
The boys join Marcus and a team of archaeologists to search for an old radar station lost for 76 years since WWII. Using an old map, metal detectors and the guiding spirits of the land to try and locate this historic spot.
The Elcho Island traditional owners also share their history and show the boys a cave with fascinating rock art.
