Jase and Simon set off from the Drysdale River and meet Traditional Owners, Richard and Derek, to go on a punishing journey towards the historic WWII Truscott Airbase on the Anjo Peninsula. The track hasn’t been travelled for two years and with the black soil country creating bogs galore, the winch rope gets a workout. Jase manages to hurt himself and is given some bad news from a medic when they reach Truscott. Will it mean the end of the expedition?
How do you prepare for medical emergencies on the road? Have you heard any WWII stories from the area? Share your stories and photos on Facebook!
