With a tip from Tex at Sweers, Jase and Simon head off in search of an old WW2 bomber that had to make an emergency landing on Mornington Island. But will finding a plane that landed almost 70 years ago on a salty beach prove to be a fool’s errand?
Mornington Island is filled with wildlife, and the guys get up close to a few of them.
It looks like a good morning for fishing, but boat troubles mean otherwise. They have to troubleshoot the problem and get it sorted with the tools they have on board otherwise they might have to rename it Gilligan’s Island.
Thankfully, it doesn’t end in disaster, and they get out on the water in time for some serious fishing action. Though they have to battle the sharks to keep their catch, we learn that half a fish is better than no fish. And the meat off of that one ends up in a tasty curry later.
Bringing the boat back in at Burketown, Jase takes a moment to look over the trailer to make sure everything is tight and secure with all the rough roads they’ve been travelling. Can’t be too careful, as the boat incident reminds us.
